2009-08-12 SALE PRICES
I purchased several items from Sam Levitz store and then they put some of those items on sale at a lower price, so when I questioned it they imediatly refunded me the difference without any problem.
I do not have any complaits about their store, they have always been fair with me. --guest

2009-02-19
2/19/2009: We bought a table and chairs from Levitz and purchased the UV3 extended protection plan. The extended plan covered any changes in the finish and luster for three years. Roughly 6 months after purchasing the table the finish began to dull and the laminate started to bubble. We contacted the store and they sent a technician over who claimed the table has defective laminate "because it's made in China and they use inferior grades of finish" and guaranteed us they would cover the table for our loss. Needless to say we were never contacted again and when we called they said it wasn't covered. I'm never shopping there again and would warn others to stay away. " --guest
2009-01-31 terrible customer service
I have purchased over $15,000 of furniture from Sam Levitz in the past. They have definitely changed over the years. Every time I have ordered from them something has had to be exchanged because it came damaged. This time The furniture that looked beautiful in the store, got to my home damaged. Immediately I called, and a week later that noticed damaged furniture was exchanged. However, after that was done, and I started putting their protection on the furniture, the veneer starting coming off, noticed nails coming up through the top of the table...I bought the extended warranty that they stated would replace it for life even if I did something to it...well my two week old furniture that has mfg defects they want to repair....I told them to come get it, and at first they told me they couldn't because there were no returns after 48 hrs, after going thru several people they are coming to get it in 10 days. I am done with Levitz. The customer service reps we dealt with today don't know what customer service is, they are rude and uncaring." --guest
2008-12-15 Bad Bookkeeping
I purchased a chair from them on a payment plan. I paid it off in December and in February they started making collection calls. I gave them all the information showing when I paid it, was promised they would take care of it and 2 weeks later got another call. It took me until June to get this cleared up. The chair is broke already but I wont go there to get another that's for sure." --guest
2008-11-20 Sam Levitz Satisfied Customer
I have puchased all kinds of furniture several times from Sam Levitz Store in Tucson,AZ. and I have had to return some furniture items because I was not satisfied with them.
I did have a problem with thier customer service to start with but when I contacted the customer service manager she was very helpful and made the returns very comfortable for me.
I know that they offer some very good furniture and also some junk furniture and like any other store it depends on how much you want to spend.

2008-06-30 You think you have it bad!?
I have worked for Sam Levitz for some time and I get to see and hear a lot of complaints cusomes have....well your not alone! I work at the place for Gods sakes and can't get customer service to come out to my house and fix my furniture!! If they would treat there own employees like that what makes anyone else think they will get better service!I too have had others who work at the verious stores be rude to me and hang up on me! So why do I work their you ask....it's a job and I hae a family to take care of!!!!" --guest
2008-03-15 Unbelievable Pricing
I was in their store last Saturday and saw a bed set that I liked that was on sale. The price for the entire bed, dresser with mirror, chest of drawers and two night stands was $1200. I called today and they said that the sale is over and that the bed alone would cost me $1198. I could hardly believe the price! How could a bed be on sale for $598, and then go up to a nonsale price of $1198? There is no way that I am going to pay that price for only one item. " --guest
2008-03-12 Terrible customer service
We moved to Tucson from Omaha Nebraska. In Omaha there is a store called Nebraska Furinture Mart that is five times the size of all the Sam Levitz stores put together and does 10 times the business volume. Nebraska Furniture Mart has outstanding customer service and almost never misses a delivery dead line. In fact they usually have the product in stock when we purchased anything there. We were very disapointed in the service and broken promises time after time at Sam Levitz. Twice (we gave them a second chance) we have attempted to purchase furnitre at Sam Levitz and both times we cancelled the entire order. I will never step foot in a Sam Levitz store again. This is not to say their sales people are bad, on the contrary, they were very easy to work with and very helpful. It's the service you get after the sale that is terrible. Sam Levitz would be out of business in a week if they had to compete against Nebraska Furniture Mart. On the bright side we love the city of Tucson much better than Omaha." --guest
2008-03-05 Worst Furniture Experience Ever
I will never recommend or purchase furniture from Sam Levits. My boyfriend and I spent over 3000.00 on furniture for our new home and recieved the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I realize that people get busy and backlogged but that is no excuse to never return calls, respond to emails or act in an unprofessional manner. Part of the furniture that was delivered over three weeks ago is still sitting broken in our office. We have yet to recieve a call or a response as to when they will be out to fix or replace the broken furniture. We are at the point of wanting to cancel everything and have them come pick up all the furniture. Buyer beware!" --guest

all the complainers about bad customer service. Do you believe that you are the only customer they have to please??? Things happen that cause changes. Yes deliveries are changed or canceled. The sales man may have not been kissing your ass. Or maybe you were on hold because they were short staffed. If you were the only customer on the books, nothing would go wrong and there would be no excuses. Why don't you offer to spend a day in their shoes and see what these hard working people have to deal with on a daily basis. I bet you'd learn that there are a lot more bitchy customers like you out there that make their work life miserable. " --guest
2008-02-09 Customer Service????
I am hoping to come to the end of a customer service nightmare soon. I made the mistake of purchasing some furniture at Sam Levitz on Orange Grove...The sales man was very nice, not high pressure and very helpful, letting me choose what I wanted, But it all ended there.
I do not believe Sam Levitz knows the meaning of customer service and delivery is a nightmare that has been going on for 3 weeks now and I am hoping will end soon. I really believe if the persons in delivery know you are getting irritated by the bad service they just make it worse. I have heard they are underpaid but you need to realize they also believe that the customer is always wrong, does not deserve good service or their furniture delivered in a timely manor, or in one piece and if you let then know you will not be home in the morning on a particular day that the furniture can be delivered they will book it for that time….
Buyer beware is all I can say as this has got to win a prize for the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Makes you think that one of the perks of working deliver is they get to keep the furniture the totally screwed customer returns out of frustration.

2007-10-03 cancelled twice
I ordered from them twice: First time cancelled due to delivery date scheduled not being fullfilled. Second time, after confirming that all items were available, a message on my home answering service stated the love seat was not available. This message was left the night before the delivery. If they had called me at work I would have told them not to bother putting items on the truck. They were unhappy to have to unload the truck. My friend purchased a 3k living room set from ASHLEY furniture/aka SAM LEVITZ which was delivered 3 times to his one month old home. All three times one of the items were damaged. Also, the delivery people dented the wall behind the front door / were not careful with the items. I think if they hired better delivery people less items would be damaged. I will not go back. You may have 2 years to pay it off, but will you have the furniture by then? :) " --guest
2007-09-27 HORRIBLE customer service and furnature!
I do NOT recommend Sam Levitz Furniture to ANYONE! I spent over $5,000 at this store. The entertainment center broke not a week after we had it. It is now a month later and they still have not fixed it or replaced the broken doors. Every time I have called to find out when they are going to fix it, I get a run around, put on hold forever or get forwarded at least 4 times... still with no answer. They have some "no return policy" that I was not aware of, so we are stuck with this crappy furnature. DO NOT GO THERE, spend your money else where." --guest
2007-08-22 Bad Customer Service/Delivery
We spent about $3000 at Sam Levitz and returned everything after two months of deliveries being cancled last minute, furnture set damaaged, did not have peices, etc. One of the delivery people hit my wall in my house that is less than 6 months old dinged up the paint and drywall. They did nothing to fix it. Delivery people slammed doors in my house and had an attitude the last time they came out. It was then that we told them that they could take everything back since we still did not have it. We were told that the charges would be reversed to the charge company. 3 months later they still have not reversed the charges and late charges occurred becasue of them. We talked to 5 people on one phone call to fix the problem and they still did not have the right person. The manager was suppose to call us back and never did. We are still fighting with them months later. Best of all they did not even charge their charge company the correct price. No one is helpful. I will never go in that store again. I am now learry of buying the furniture I need." --guest

Less than a year ago I purchase a king size mattress set that it just didnt cost me $300.00.Thinking if I spend a few more $$$ I was gonna get a better piece but ever since than I keep calling about probems like squeking,craking even probems with what was suppost to be better frames.Very dissapointed customer." --guest

Horrible delivery service, expensive, high pressure sales.
I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND SAM LEVITZ. They promise what they can not deliver only to make a sale. They have no payments for two years, but do not care when the delivery is made.
