Simoniz in Tucson SUCKS

Sounds like you had a similar experience... I actually paid close to $100 for the full deal and couldn't have been more disappointed. My car was supposed to be buffed, but there was still a rather large, easily removable, dirt smudge mark on my front bumper that I had to wipe off myself when I returned to pick it up. They hadn't even touched it. Of course I complained about it, but apparently the guy they sent over to fix the problems didn't speak a word of English so it ended up turning into little more than a game a charades. I too was in kind of a rush, drove off, and didn't even notice how dirty the car still was until the next day. DO NOT GO TO SIMONIZ IN TUCSON ARIZONA!!!! THEY ARE A RIP-OFF!!!!!

Simoniz Car Wash #42
4941 N Oracle Rd
Tucson, AZ 85704
(520) 888-6858

I have been a loyal Tucson Simoniz customer of 4yrs with my two vehicles. I primarily had my vehicles detailed at the eastside locations. The detail was comprised of a vacuum and wash (Express), hand wax, and wheel shine for $40 plus a generous tip. The attraction to the service was that the locations offered and honored the same service free of charge (for each vehicle paid) within a 90 day period.

On this particular day, I happened to be in the area of the Oracle Simoniz location and decided to inquire about receiving the same service and charge rather than traveling back to the eastside locations. The service attendant not only assured that they could give the same service at the same charge (including the free 90 day service) but added that their location was number one in Tucson over all other locations for service. The only stipulation was I would need to keep my receipt and present it when I came back to their location, which was the same as the eastside locations. So I paid for the agreed services (2-1-08).

On 2-29-08, I decided to take the same vehicle in and have the free service performed that I had been promised. To my astonishment, I was disappointed to hear that they would not honor that service or price and more shocked to hear it coming from the same service attendant who assured me initially that it could be done. The service attendant, who acknowledged that the receipt I presented to him was his write up, offered no reason for the action. I asked if this location charged $40 for only a hand wash as he had written it up for on the receipt. His reply was, “No”.  It was only after some additional inquiries at the other locations, that it was suggested that his reason for writing it up the way he did ($40 hand wash) was for the sole purpose of commission.

I don’t pretend to know the work ethics or operating processes of a car wash facility but I do work for a major manufacturer and understand that general business ethics and practices where a customer’s trust is not taken for granted, but rather earned over time, is a valued commodity.  It is because of this, trust, which earns customer loyalty and respect thus ensuring continued business.

I can only hope you will change the current business practice at your Tucson Oracle Simoniz location and honor any promises made on behalf of your management or staff
