I drove 4 hours to see this doctor. I was accused of being there just for drugs. He was very intimidating. I literally felt like I was on the stand being grilled by an asshole attorney...but it was a doctor. He kept asking why are you here and I told him for a diagnosis.... he said a diagnosis for what? He said nothing was wrong with me and that I was really depressed. Asked how often I saw my shrink and had something smartass to say again.
Told me I have fibromyalgia ... which I knew and asked if I was ever given meds for it. I said Lyrica and he asked what year... I said around 1994 or so.... he said... are you sure? He came at me and said that Lyrica wasn't even made until 2000.
I already have PTSD and I left there sobbing after I told him to f-off.
Told me I looked on the internet for all the symptoms of Lupus and made a list to hand to him. I have been ill for 25 years and he was my last hope as my insurance runs out on the 30th of Nov. 2009

Dr. Loomer, like others in his specialty, tries to make time for so many patients. He doesn't rush patients, so he does run behind schedule--an hour or two is common. Call the nurse before driving all the way up there to get an update on when you might actually see the doctor and save yourself some wait time." --guest
