(May 22, 2009) – New owners anticipate a strong turnout for the launch of Friday’s Farmers Market at Broadway Village, Tucson’s first indoor/outdoor farmers market, starting at 8 am on June 5th. We missed the watermelons - they had just sold out - but one woman had huge zucchinis selling at just fifty cents. Other folks had plants, herbal medicines, and lots of locally grown tomatos. It makes a nice family outing as the El Rio Library with playground and sunken basketball court are right across the street. The Santa Cruz Farmer's market is open I believe 3-6PM on Thursdays."	add comment
