Were your ears burning on thursday 6/21? UIS/SSU college of Education and Human Services honored 3 early faculty that day. It was a very classy occasion. Regan Smith, M'lu Burnett and I were honored. They even unveiled paintings of us. During the panel discussion both Regan and I mentioned you in our vivid memories of our beginnings. The university is thriving but wouldn't be if there hadn't been people like you at SSU in the early 70's. Recently WUIS ran a series on 12 women who changed Springfield.
