is gearing up to fill and distribute 50,000 food boxes during the
upcoming holidays for families in need in Southern Arizona! At the same
time, we have been way over budget for food purchasing every month since
our fiscal year began July 1st.

So.... consider this an urgent request to see whether you, and any
group or congregation you are a part of, would consider organizing a
short-term food drive over the next couple of months.  It's very easy to
do (check the website www.communityfoodbank.org, and check on "donate
food" for easy instructions).  We can provide you with collection boxes
and posters, and if you collect too much to bring in yourself, we would
