New central Great Decisions group starting

    2130 E. Hampton St. 85719
579-2895
A new central Tucson group will start on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 7-9 pm, at the Ward 6 office, 3202 E. lst Street, and meet every second Tuesday for 9 sessions. The Tucson Great Decisions Association has 25 groups meeting throughout the city, at various times and days,  to discuss worldwide/U.S. policy issues.  Groups use the 2009 Great Decisions briefing book ($15) which will be available at the first meeting, published by the nonpartisan Foreign Policy Association. www.fpa.org.  2009 topics are: The US and Rising Powers, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Energy and the Global Economy, Arctic Age: sovereignty questions, the rush for resources and transport,  Egypt, Cuba after Castro, Global Food Supply, and Universal Human Rights: do they transcend national borders and customs?  A great way to keep up with what’s going in the world! For information, to reserve a book, call 579-2895.

I couldn't seem to find a list of the Great Decisions locations in Tucson without joining the fpa website.  Can anyone post a list here?  Thanks!" --guest
