Check out the brochure - these are neat family outings with something for all ages. We've been to the bat one, where a bat biologist from the UA showed us her custom 'bat detector' - I kid you not - that automatically identifies bats from their call. We also took a short walk to a water hole filled with Red Spotted Toads! On the Moon event, the little kids enjoy the cutting and pasting and the model moon, while the older ones get to look thru a decent size telescope at moon features. The new fitness area features a dance-computer thing and climbing wall, right across from the doctor's office with a real microscope. Finally a kitchen area has been added to the ever-popular grocery shop. Some changes are tiny but cool - look for a simple but neat 'maglev' train right by the pushbutton train exhibit. | add comment |
