The monsoon is looking bleak for the next five to seven days. There is still a chance of isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms today, but then it will shut down for a few days. A strong upper-level low will pass to the north of Arizona, giving us a drier southwesterly flow aloft over the next several days.

The future of the local foods movement in Tucson looks a lot like a couple of young, counter-culture farmers working their butts off on a piece of land with acreage measured in the single digits. Adam Valdivia, 27, and C.J. Marks Jr., 32, may till a tiny patch of desert on the northwest side called Sleeping Frog Farms, but they're also dipping into a deepening green movement with an increasing demand for locally grown and organic foods.

http://www.azstarnet.com/sn/metro/303437.php
1 Vandalism was reported at 9:40 p.m. July 15 at a neighborhood pool in the 6400 block of North Foothills Drive. A resident told deputies the following: Three men knocked on her door and asked if they could use her pool key because their keys were locked in the pool bathroom. She did not give them her key but met them at the pool and let them into the bathroom. She asked where they lived and they said they did not live in the area but have a friend who is a resident. She opened the bathroom door and noticed the floor was completely soaked in urine. One of the toilets was stuffed with feces and paper towels. She accused the three men of vandalizing the bathroom. They told her the bathroom was already damaged when they used the pool.
