| creek fun Although the sign at the entrance on Aug 4 read 'Danger - high water', we found a few stretches of river just right for playing and swimming in. Between stops 4 and 5 there is a small side channel that even the littlest river hiker can wade thru, and just upstream of that is a wide section with a small rapids which provided excellent fun for young swimmers. Adult lifeguard is still a must, but we found it possible to have plenty of safe creek splashfun this week. If planning a ride up, don't forget to bring cash for the tram - they don't take plastic!
