Notes about NO to McClusky : lies and distortions

I am really steamed about these last minute mailers attacking Fimbres.  The Star did an article with research on the attack and it is so clearly a made-up charge.  The truth is something like 'a staffer under Fimbres didn't complete some paperwork before his successor took over so the next guy had to finish it.'  How does that turn into '$186K disappeared'?  I am just disgusted with McClusky.  Here is the star link:

I also asked Fimbres campaign if they wanted to post a response, here is what Mark Kerr the campaign manager sent me from them:
-----------------------------------
Contrary to Richard Fimbres' Republican opponent's unfounded, scurrilous and unsubstantiated allegations, he did respond, more than two months ago, to the attacks made on him by his successor, Alberto Gutier, a longtime Phoenix Republican political operative, strategist, activist, Sergeant at Arms for the State Republican Party and currently, the Director of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) under Governor Jan Brewer.

"Lies and distortion of my service to his state and community are shameful and disrespectful," Fimbres said.
"I am disappointed in Shaun McClusky. I had hoped that this campaign would have been run on issues and not on innuendo and falsehoods," Fimbres commented.
