Racial Drifts at PV High

Dear parents and to all those whom this may concern,
The racial events that occured at Palo Verde Magnet High School was dramatically blown out of proportion.  First of all, the said fights that supposedly threatened the welfare of the students were not even know by most of them until they saw it on the six o'clock news. The "fights" did not even take place as they were said to have happened. Secondly, the school pep assembly was cancelled mainly because of the fear that we as a student body would rip each other to shreds at the sight of our fellow African American and Mexican students. This makes sense if we were in the South and the year was 1960. Lastly, the school has not been known to have extreme (or even enough to let the average student realize) racial conflicts among the  students. But maybe the whole Columbine situation has made the American Society paranoid about these threats. I am a student attending Palo Verde High School, and this is the side that all students are taking. Name anonymous.
