Dog Days of Summer Sunday 11/22/09 07:00 AM at Botanical Gardens
Due to the overwhelming popularity with the Tucson pet population, dog days at the Tucson Botanical Gardens will continue through fall. Enjoy the cool, peaceful mornings of our desert home by bringing your dog to the Garden every Tuesday morning. The Gardens is 5 1/2 acres of lush greenery, shady meandering paths, and beautiful native flowers – the perfect setting for your morning walk. Walkers are welcome at 7 a.m. and dogs will be admitted until 8:30 a.m. Regular admission charges apply, dog admission is $3 per dog. Please bring a leash, water for your dog and waste disposal bags to keep our garden clean. Dogs are not admitted to the Garden during regular business hours so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.
Dog Days hours: Tuesday mornings, open at 7 a.m. Dogs will be admitted until 8:30 a.m.
Garden hours: Garden hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Open seven days a week, year round, except July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Day.
Admission: $7 for adults (age 13+), $3 for children 4-12 and dogs ($2 Gardens member dogs), free for children 3 and under.

Scarecrows in the Gardens Sunday 11/22/09 08:30 AM at Botanical Gardens
This fall, to celebrate the beauty and bounty of autumn, the Tucson Botanical Gardens features handcrafted scarecrows made by local businesses and artists. Charming scarecrows of all shapes and sizes populate individual ramadas and gardens and will greet visitors as they walk along paths throughout the 5 ½ acre property. Each scarecrow is a unique creation fashioned from botanical, recycled or repurposed materials. Visitors can even vote for their favorite! Scarecrows will be on display October 17 through November 30, 2009. Admission to the exhibit is free with general admission.
Exhibit dates: Oct.17-Nov. 30, 2009
Hours: Garden hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Open seven days a week, year round, except July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Day.

The Enduring Landscape: Mark Klett, Byron Wolfe, Michael Light, and John Yang Sunday 11/22/09 12:00 AM at Etherton Gallery
Etherton Gallery is pleased to present The Enduring Landscape featuring the photographs of Mark Klett and Byron Wolfe, Michael Light and John Yang. The exhibition highlights Mark Klett's and Byron Wolfe's views of the American West, sites originally photographed by nineteenth-century survey photographers; John Yang's elegiac and transcendent images of upstate New York's Indian Ladder Trail; and Michael Light's images of the strange beauty of the land cut by the Bingham Canyon copper mine. The exhibition opens on Saturday, November 22nd with a reception from 7:00 to10:00 pm and runs through January 17, 2009. Etherton Gallery is located at 135 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85701.
