Aviation Day/727 Plane Pull for Special Olympics: Saturday, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the Tucson International Airport control tower, 7081 S. Plumer Ave. Featured are control tower tours, military and civilian aircraft displays and fly-bys and, 10 a.m. - noon, the Tucson Airport Authority's first 727 Plane Pull for Special Olympics. Teams of 20 people will complete to pull a 120,000-pound 727 FedEx cargo jet 12 feet in the shortest span of time. Airplane rides cost a nickel per pound; tickets will be sold until noon, and children under 12 must be accompained by a parent. Free parking and admission.

Wildflower Festival: Sunday, 3:30 - 7 p.m., Tohono Chul Park, 7366 N. Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Pima County Parks and Recreation will hold its fourth annual Easter egg hunt at the Tucson Electric Park in the Kino Sports Complex on Ajo Way and Forgeus Avenue, near I-10 and Kino Parkway. The event will begin with games, activities and Easter basket-making, which will continue until around noon. Actual hunts will begin at 10 a.m., with separate hunts held for different age groups.

Tucson Warehosue District Walking Tour: Meet in the lobby of the Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St. Saturday, 9 - 11 a.m., the monthly walking tour of Tucson's Warehouse Historic District is hosted by an expert on the history of the area. The tour covers an area bounded by Toole Avenue on the south, Ninth Avenue on the west, Herbert Avenue on the east and Sixth Street on the north - approximately 1 mile - and includes an overview of the area's history and brief visits to several artisits' studios. Catalina State Park Easter Festivities: Sunday, the park will have a variety of family activities such as a non-denominational sunrise service and pancake breakfast, 6:30 - 8:30 a.m., and an Easter Egg Hunt, 9 a.m. - noon, with a clown, jumping castle, games and prizes. The egg hunt will be limited to 300 children on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be two groups, ages 2-5 and 6-11. Passes will be handed out on the day of the activity. Park admission: $4 per vehicle with up to four people in a vehicle. Each additional person is $1; children under 12 are free. The park is located at milepost 81 on Oraclle Road.

Annual Alliance Book Sale: 4/17 - 4/19. Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson, Goddard Hall, 4831 E. 22nd St. This three-day event will feature a large selection of paperback and hardback novels, non-fiction books of all kinds - reference, cookbooks and more. Proceeds support the funding of church programs. Hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Sunday.

Waila Festival: 4/17 & 4/18. Arizona Historical Society Museum, 949 E. Second St. Friday night from 6 to 11 and Saturday, 5-11 p.m., Tucsonans will find music, dancing, arts and crafts at the 10th annual Waila Festival. There will be many special additions to the festival, such as dance and Waila musician workshops and a traditional arts program and exhibit. Roses of the Desert 4/18 & 4/19. The Rose Society of Tucson will have its rose show Saturday and Sunday at Park Mall, 5870 E. Broadway. Entries are open to the public and may be made between 7 and 10 a.m. Saturday. Judging begins Saturday from 10:30 to approximately 1 p.m. Hours: 1- 9 p.m. Saturday, noon - 6 p.m. Sunday.

Downtown Saturday Night: Saturday, 7-10 p.m., the Downtown Arts District - centered on the east end of Congress Street - keeps its shops and galleries open and offers free street entertainment.

Master Gardener "My Yard" Tour: This annual garden tour will be Saturday, with six master gardeners offering their gardens in an educational tour featuring vegetable, flower and wildlife gardening, plus landscapes of native and desert-adapted plants. $5; children 12 and under accompanied by an adult are free. 626-5161

Festival de Salud celebrates health with more than 100 organizations offering health-care and safety information, screenings, and immunizations. After getting your body in tune, get a dose of fun from entertainment, children's activities, giveaways, and prize drawings. It's all put on by the American Heart Association. Earth Day Festival and Parade Festivities around the Tucson Children's Museum start with exhibits including alternative home-building techniques and activities such as planting seeds. The parade marches off at 10 a.m. with floats by environmental organizations, businesses, families, and social organizations -- all fueled by human power or alternative energy. Israel Camerata Jerusalem has been hailed by the New York Times as the "best of the new generation of Israeli ensembles."
