Fort Lowell Park Arts and Crafts Fair: Sunday, 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., hundreds of artisans will show and sell their handcrafted works along Cottonwood Lane at Fort Lowell Park, 2900 N. Craycroft Road. Food vendors will sell a variety of ethnic delights. Free parking and shuttle service will be available from Tucson Medical Center (accessible at Wyatt and Glenn).

Multicultural Week '98 3/2 - 3/6. To increase awareness of cultural diversity, the International Student Association will sponsor this event at the UA mall Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Music, exotic dances, food, movies and people from all over the world are among the attractions. 621-4678.

Transition Fair '98: Wednesday, a consortium of local agencies and school districts will provide information for students ages 13-22 with special needs. The fair will offer information about education, employment, housing, transportation, recreational, medical and technologial opportunities available after high school. The free event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Flowing Wells High School cafeteria, 3725 N. Flowing Wells Road. 324-3050.

Sports Cards and Memorabilia Show: 3/6 - 3/8, buy, sell and trade sports cards, autographs and other sports memorabilia at El Con Mall, 3601 E. Broadway. Hours: Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, noon-5 p.m.

World of Wheels: 3/6 - 3/8, World of Wheels teams up with the Big Boys' Toy Show at the Pima County Fairgrounds, 11300 S. Houghton Road. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be hopping low-riders and dancing demos. "Big boys' toys" range from custom cars to boats and spas. Second Chance Plant Sale This helps you out if you didn't get that desert landscaping planted in the fall like you were supposed to. More mature trees, shrubs, and other plants are offered for sale at Tohono Chul Park. Experts also will answer your questions, and mini-lectures tell you all you need to know about desert gardening. Kite Festival and Arts and Crafts Fair: Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m., Coyote Kite Club and the Pima Country Parks and Recreation Department will present their third annual spring kite festival at Arthur Pack Park, 9400 N. Thornydale Road. The event will include a candy drop from kites for kids, competitions, antiques, pottery and jewelry.

Spirit of Spring Arts and Crafts Festival From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Spirit Weavers' second annual festival, featuring more than 80 juried artisans, wil be held at Ventana Village, East Sunrise Drive at North Kolb Road. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Mobile Meals of Tucson.

Unique Spring Boutique Gridley Middle School, 350 S. Harrison Road. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., handcrafted gifts and home decorations by more than 80 artisans will be featured.

Bicycle Swap Meet The Tucson chapter of the Greater Arizona Bicycling Association presents its bike fest and swap, a kickoff to Tucson Bike Week '98, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Pima Community College West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road. Bikes will be demonstrated, bought, sold and traded. There also will be food and prizes. Sun Tran will offer free rides to bicyclists.

Spring Spectacular From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ott Family YMCA, 401 S. Prudence Road, there will be a raffle of a handmade quilt, a diamond tennis bracelet and a fragrance basket. Proceeds benefit the "Y" Scholarship Fund.

St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival Tucson police pipe band, clans, floats, marching bands, etc. The festivities step off at 11 a.m. from Armory Park on 6th Ave. between 13th and 14th St., from 11 am - 6 pm, with Irish stepdancers from Tucson and other entertainers, corned beef and other Irish culinary fare, and children's activities. Valley of the Moon: Saturday and Sunday, 10 am - 4 pm, at Valley of the Moon, 2544 E. Allen Road, children and adults are invited to stroll the pathways, sit in the Enchanted Garden or take a historical tour with one of the volunteers. This is a free event, with donations accepted for restoration and maintenance.

1998 Equinox Festival: Saturday at Armory Park, noon-10 p.m., this equinox celebration is an all-ages, non-alcohol event. It's held on the first day of spring, when the length of night and day are equal, and will feature music and dance performances, jugglers, clowns and arts and crafts displays.

Tucson Jr. League's Rummage Sale Jr. League spends all year collecting stuff donated from local merchants and prices them low enough to sell in one day. Bring-A-Bike Day Trike-A-Thon: 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Bring-ABike Day safety program will be conducted at Creative Beginnings Preschool and Kindergarden, 2690 N. First Ave. It encourages safe riding behavior among children and raises money to fight childhood cancer. Parents of children will be seeking pledges for St. Jude Hospital during this program.

This 30-minute stage show will include classic fairy tales and songs. After the show, kids can meet the Easter Bunny and their favorite storybook characters.

Eighteenth Primavera Jazz Festival 3/28 & 3/29, 8 p.m. at Berger Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Speedway Blvd. in the Arizona State School for the Deaf and the Blind, 743-3399 TJS Hotline. Call for a schedule of Primavera celebration dates, locations and ticket prices. The festival is part of a month-long Primavera celebration of Women in the Arts, which includes performances by the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Arizona and groups from the Tucson Jazz Society. Tree Planting and Fun Walk: Sunday, Friends of Sabino Canyon and Tu Nidito will host the third annual tree planting and fun walk to kick off the Friends' annual membership drive. Festivities begin at 9 a.m. in Sabino Canyon and continue until noon. Balloons will mark the path from the canyon entrance to the cactus picnic area, where Smokey Bear, refreshments and surprises will be on hand.

Home Tour: Sunday, noon-5 p.m., the West University Neighborhood Association will conduct its 18 th annual historic home tour. It begins at Roskruge School, 506 E. Sixth St., and includes 15 historic homes, landmarks and gardens. $5 in advance, $7 day of tour. A dinner with entertainment will be held at the school at the end of the tour. Dinner tickets are $5.
