2007-12-28 Christmas Alms Bags 2007 0
Park Baptist Church is a non-traditional yet Biblical Independent Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona. Sunday, December 23, 2007 we received about 40 laundry bags filled with items we suggested donors would appreciate if they found themselves homeless, cast out, on the street. Members of New Testament Baptist Church at Glenn & Craycroft Rd. donated the Christmas Alms Bags. Some were really generous, some were Sparton; but all were greatly appreciated. My advice is that if I found myself homeless I would want cold cash money, amen! Webster's first definition of alms is money; money or food. Sadly few have the faith to obey our Lord's command to give alms. Many wolves in sheep's clothing say, "Don't give your money (i.e. alms) to the poor wretched drunks, etc.; give your money to us!" Many of the Christmas alms bags had gift cards for food at MacDonald's, Burger King, or Whataburger. Some of the bags had socks and praise the Lord, sleeping bags. Hopefully Christmas alms bags will become an annual tradition; but almsgiving is a daily opportunity for you to demonstrate John 3:16, KJV. God gave the best in Heaven to an undeserving world. What's more is that, "Charity never faileth." Glory to God, Bro. Don, Pastor, Psa. 126" --guest
