All paint colors will vary depending on finish. Other factors are outside interference from vegetation, orientation of the house (what kind of light your getting), and window coverings. All of these things will affect the color. Sample paint pots are sold in the most popular color, which is matte. These samples will give you a good idea of how the color will look in your house. The sheen (silk, in this case) will give the color a slightly darker appearance, but the color is static since the formula is exactly the same. Sometimes a color does not look perfect at first, but once you put the furniture and art on the walls, everything pulls together. Unfortunately, paint is one of the most difficult things to get right. Sometimes it's helpful to have an expert guide you through the selection of colors because they know how to make everything work together, including the outside influences. I hope this helps.
