What he was trying to accomplish was to be a cross between Craigslist and YouTube. However, his business model was built upon selling classifieds ads which are free all over the internet. I very carefully explained that I wanted nothing to do with his business concept. I further explained that I thought that he would likely fail. I thought the guy was going to pounce on me and perhaps do great bodily harm to me. Yes, the guy was that scary. He informed me that I was the only person who ever told him no. This guy was huge and I could understand why someone would want to shine him on.

I am writing this post from life experience. I work at link building 7 days a week. Yes, that does mean that I am a workaholic and I have a great need to succeed. I do not recommend that you attempt to emulate my work ethic but I have some pearls of wisdom to share today.
About the time that I abandoned using blog to gain high search engine rankings I started reporting how well this site ranked for its targeted keyword phrases. The reality is that those short drive by spammy comments will likely get deleted on most blogs worth posting on. I ask is it better to post 10 short thank you comments and maybe get one or two links or post 4 good comment on good blogs and get them all accepted? Both scenarios will take about the same amount of time. Yes, leaving good comments takes time but it does pay off with better results for your efforts. This is often knows as your Return On Investment. The investment here is time or money if you are paying for some one to build links for you.
